S stinky tom Member Joined Sep 5, 2025 Messages 21 Feb 25, 2026 #2 A mid-length gas system on a 16-inch rifle just feels smoother to me. Carbine length works okay but I like the softer recoil impulse of the mid-length, it makes it easier to track the sights during fast shooting.
