Carbine gas still good?

Considering how much parts and ammo have evolved, is there any good reason to stick with carbine gas for a typical 16" configuration?

Both setups work great with a 16". The carbine gas is designed to be slightly overgassed for better reliability. while the mid-length system gives you a smoother shooting feel. I’d suggest sticking with the carbine unless you’re working on something particular.
