CT allows you to renew your permit even if you've moved out of state. The only thing to keep in mind is that you'll be renewing as a non-resident which means the process is a bit different and you'll be working directly with the state rather than your previous local authority. As long as your permit hasn't been revoked or flagged for any issues, you should be fine. Just make sure to follow the non-resident renewal steps and submit your paperwork before it completely lapses. CT isn't exactly known for being speedy with permits so the earlier you start, the easier itll be.
