Deer Survey

I recently received an e-mail from the state deer biologist requesting my input on last years deer season. I have filled out these surveys in the past, but this year there was a question regarding the use of straight walled cartridges for deer hunting on state land. Is this something the state regulators are considering? If so, this is the first I have heard of it. Hopefully the word will get out so more people can comment on this idea. I for one am for it. Modern rifled shotgun slugs have just as much range as straight walled cartridges, so there would not be much difference at all.

If it’s in the survey, it’s already on someone’s desk, just depends how loud the feedback gets.

Feels like they’re testing the waters. If slugs already match the range, hard to argue against straight-wall options.
