Current NFA Wait Times for Suppressors

I'm in the process of waiting for my first suppressor. How long did your approval take? Did you use the eForms or paper method? Any tips would be appreciated!

Most people only have a business day or two to wait before they’re approved. Exceptions include if you’ve been arrested or have a very common name.

I don’t know why you’d submit a paper form 4 these days, unless buying privately, since those are taking a couple months+.

Of all the suppressors I've acquired in the last 18 months or so, the longest wait has been 4 days, including the weekend, and one was even approved at 8 PM on a Sunday.

I’d recommend going with eForms! It’s just so much smoother and quicker than dealing with all that old paper stuff. I’ve noticed that most people are getting their approvals in less than a month. Some are even wrapping it up in a couple of weeks if they submit everything correctly.
