I still remember my first handgun like it was yesterday—not only because it was a big deal for me, but because it turned out to be a bit of a lemon. Anyone else still holding onto their first gun? How do you feel about it now? Would love to hear your stories and maybe see some photos too!

Smith and Wesson Shield Plus , yes I still have it ... Have owned it since 2020 , when I just started getting into guns... I'm late to the game ....

My first new gun was a Ruger GP100 4" 357 w/blue finish which I still have. I bought new because I didn't know how to check out a used revolver at the time and because of Ruger CS, plus their reputation as rugged guns. Since then I've branched out to S&W K frames, mostly 38spl in 3"-4" barrels. However, the first gun owned was a 1966 Trooper 357 4" my F-I-L left to me. That's what prompted me to get my pistol permit. It will always stay in the family and was his service weapon.

My first handgun was a Ruger Mark 1 target gun with bull barrel. I bought it second hand from a friend that ran into some legal trouble. Bought it for $30 in 1968 and still have it. It has taken a boat load of squirrels, and was used in competition for a few years. It holds an honored place in my safe.

Beretta 92 back in 2000 was my first. Still got it and still shoots great. Heavy as hell but taught me how to actually aim.

Yeah, I still got my first piece, a rough old .22 revolver. It has jammed more than it shot straight, but I'll never ditch it, I have too many memories tied up in that thing

My first handgun was a BP revolver made in Italy, a replica of an 1858 remington in .36cal and I still have it and most of the handguns I've bought. Although at 81 I am starting to sell off my guns.

Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 Mag...Gone

My first handgun is an Italian repop Roger’s & Spencer .44 black powder revolver.
First two cartridge ones I bought were two at the same time.
Colt Lightweight Commander series 80 .45ACP. Carried this for many years.
Ruger MkII .22lr bull barrel. This one has done it all from field use to bullseye competition.
Still have the Roger’s & Spencer after 47 years.
Still have both the Colt & Ruger 39 years down the road.
They are the foundation The Collection is built upon.
