To be successful in waterfowl hunting, you need to know the flight paths and where the birds like to feed. How do you set up trail cameras for ducks or geese, and what have you learned from watching their patterns?

The most common mistake I see is people positioning their cameras at chest height almost like they’re on the hunt for a big buck. For ducks,I usually use a low-profile ground stake to raise my lens about 8-10" off the ground. This gives me a duck’s eye view, making it a lot simpler to spot different species and see if they’re really feeding or just loafing around.
