The over/under crowd talks about balance and consistency. The semi-auto crowd points to reduced recoil and faster follow-ups. Honestly, both sides are right, it just depends on the use. The debate never ends and that’s half the fun.
 
That debate’s never getting settled, it just depends if you want tradition and balance or softer shooting with quicker follow-ups.
 
It’s the classic clay range debate.Everyone’s right, nobody switches and the argument never retires.
 
I don't believe for a second that an auto has a faster follow-up than a double, especially if the double has a mechanical single trigger or even a single inertia trigger
 
I see the same debate whenever I visit a clay shooting range. The semi-auto feels easier on my shoulder but the over-under still feels smoother when everything clicks.
