In my area of SE CT there are several portions of state land hunting areas that are restricted to "bow Hunting" only. I can understand some of the smaller areas having a restriction due to neighboring properties, but not some of the other larger areas. Seems like discrimination to me. I don't see any areas that are "Firearms Only". I would like to see some "Firearms Only Hunting Areas" that would restrict bow hunters from using, giving the deer in these areas less pressure before the firearms deer season arrives. By the time the state land firearms deer season arrives in mid November, the deer in the area have been harassed by bow hunters so that their normal activities are restricted to after dark.
