What’s your go-to revolver for everyday carry and what makes it your top choice? I’m interested in hearing from those who rely on wheelguns daily about their real-world experiences and recommendations.
I usually load the Model 65 with Federal HST micro 130gr 38+P which are no longer available unfortunately. Made for snubs. 13 inches penetration/100% expansion .75 inch per Luckygunner. The recoil is very tame. Wish I had more.I use a Colt Detective Special .38 - small, 6 shots, and points naturally.
I use speed strips for faster reloads instead of loose rounds. What .357 loads are you using in that S&W for carry?
I recently bought a Colt DS(1978) myself. Nice little six shooter. I might carry it as a BUG.I use a Colt Detective Special .38 - small, 6 shots, and points naturally.

I used to own the same as this. To this day, I'm still regretting why I sold itI carry a S&W Model 65-2 3" 357 Magnum IWB 3 o'clock in an Azula leather holster. It's light enough to carry comfortably and heavy enough to be comfortable shooting at the range. Six shot vs five is a plus over some lighter options.View attachment 5
