I finally switched from a full-size to a compact

I learnt that the full-size shot better. The compact went with me places the full-size didn't and that math eventually did itself. But switching platforms after years on one gun meant relearning muscle memory I didn't even know I had. The transition took longer than I expected and was worth every minute.

Amazing how much muscle memory hides in the background until you switch guns and suddenly your hands feel slightly confused

That’s the tradeoff right there. Full-size usually shoots better but the gun that actually goes with you wins the equation.

I had a similar adjustment switching to a smaller carry gun. My reloads were awkward for weeks because the grip length shifted where my hands were used to grabbing.
