Guns I bought just to complete a collection

I bought a .40 S&W just because I had 9mm and .45 ACP and felt like I should have all three service calibers represented. I've shot it maybe twice. It doesn't do anything my other guns don't do better. Sometimes we buy guns for completionist reasons that make no practical sense, and that's okay,hobbies don't have to be practical.

I went through the same phase with a caliber I barely use now. At the time, it felt important to have the whole set, but once the novelty wore off, I realized I didn’t really need it.

 I picked up a stainless Browning Hi-Power clone mostly because it felt like my collection had a historical hole without one. I hardly ever shoot it and I probably never will much but every time I open the safe and see it sitting there, I still get a little grin.

I ended up grabbing a .44 Magnum just because it felt like a must-have revolver caliber.

Alright, so I’ve got a Sig 357, picked it up the same way. Told myself it made sense at the time and shot it maybe three times and the gap between shots was fine...
