Took a trip to one of my favorite lakes in Connecticut last weekend, targeting some bass. Water temps were a bit chilly, around 50 degrees, but the sun was shining. I started off with a green pumpkin chatterbait, but after a couple hours with no bites, I decided to switch to a wacky rigged stick worm. That did the trick! Ended up catching three decent size bass, including one that went about 3 pounds. Had a couple more strikes but couldn’t hook them, of course. Nothing like that feeling when you finally get a taker after a slow start! I was fishing solo, so it was nice and quiet out there. How’s everyone else doing? Any luck in your areas?

I've been having some decent luck lately too. The early mornings have really been my sweet spot, especially when I'm using these setups. Ned rigs and drop shots been doing a great job, especially around those submerged trees and rocky areas. The water's still pretty cool here, so I've been taking it slow with my retrieves and really paying attention to any structure. It's all about patience LOL
