I've tried that. You can reload a 10rd fixed magazine right through the ejection port without having to disassemble your rifle. Just pop in the loader, slide the thumb ring, and you’re all set. Also, no mods are required to use it. They even have an optional feed ramp if you're looking to make the process a bit quicker.
