Took a trip to one of my favorite lakes in Connecticut last weekend, targeting some bass. Water temps were a bit chilly, around 50 degrees, but the sun was shining. I started off with a green pumpkin chatterbait, but after a couple hours with no bites, I decided to switch to a wacky rigged stick worm. That did the trick! Ended up catching three decent size bass, including one that went about 3 pounds. Had a couple more strikes but couldn't hook them, of course. Nothing like that feeling when you finally get a taker after a slow start! I was fishing solo, so it was nice and quiet out there. How's everyone else doing? Any luck in your areas?
